$8 Million of property from Schroeder-Manatee has just been purchased by Tavistock Developemtn Company of Orlando on the corner of State Rd 70 and Lakewood Ranch Boulevard with the plans of putting in a luxury rental development and a shopping center.
Travistock has projected a 525,000 square-foot mixed-use development on 37 acres, along with 150,000 square-feet of retail, office and restaurant space and 304 luxury four-story rentals.
An Earth Fare Supermarket, which states its food is free of added hormones, artificial sweetners and trans-fats, will accompany “The Green at Lakewood Ranch”. The Lakewood Ranch Earth Fare will be the first one in the Sarasota-Bradenton area .
Along with healthy groceries, “The Green” would also boast a fitness facility and other various restaurants. These aspects of “The Green” are planned to be open in the early parts of 2018.
