Lakewood Ranch Home Sales are on the up and up; Way way up!


Lakewood Ranch has made it up to number 3 in home sales so far for 2017 as reported by the Real Estate Consulting Firm, RCLCO.

Back in 2012, Lakewood Ranch popped up on the map at number 9 in home sales and climbed to number four in 2016 with 775 sales for the year. From January-June of 2017, 622 new homes have been sold, which is an astonishing 73 percent increase from 2016 where only 360 homes were sold.


With the easy access to I-75, Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, community clubs and one of the largest Sports Campuses in the country, it’s no surprise that people are knocking on the doors to move into this active town. New communities are popping up left and right ranging anywhere from condos in the 100,000’s to multi million dollar estates.


Schroeder-Manatee Ranch Inc, the developer of Lakewood Ranch, has set aside more than a third of the 31,000 acres that make up the town, for green space as well as more than 150 miles of sidewalks, and interconnected trails.

Lakewood Ranch currently has 20 builders with about 70 model homes. Lakewood Ranch Waterside village, formerly called the Villages of Lakewood Ranch South, is sure to add to the value of this booming town. Various Shopping, office space, and restaurants are in the process of being completed in the new Waterside Community and it’s first model home is now open for viewing. Waterside is planned to have 5,144 homes on 1,425 acres in the Sarasota County portion of Lakewood Ranch.
