Millenials Make the Move to Lakewood Ranch

 

Beginning in 2016, Lakewood Ranch noted an increase in millenial buyers, younger than the baby boomers that made their home in Lakewood Ranch during the last economic downfall.

 

Thoughts are that they may be working in the area and looking for their first home or interested in pursuing job opportunities. In response to the millenial movement, the community launched a website, showcasing their lower-priced homes in the low $200,000’s. New Apartments are also popping up in the same price range, totally about  1,693 units,

 

Studies found that millenials find different amenties, critical during their home shopping process, such as a entertaining downtown atmosphere. The New Waterside Community south of University Parkway is ideal for such entertainment, with its extensive downtown center.

 

Two National Independent Real Estate Consulting Firms recognized Lakewood Ranch as one of the          five-best selling master-planned communities in the country in 2016. They has 775 new home sales which is a 45% increse from 2015.
